A Dedicated Vision
My journey started with childhood sketches and sunset-watching when I should’ve been doing homework. It eventually led me to the Art Institute of Chicago and a career in commercial design working in New York City, Los Angeles, and Atlanta before moving to the Savannah Area.
In the beautiful, demanding blur of motherhood and work, I realized I was losing the girl who used to sit outside and just see the world. I picked up a paintbrush to find her again. What started as a way to reclaim my identity has turned into a flood of endless inspiration!
About My Work
My work bridges the expansive skies of the Georgia and Carolina coasts in an internal search for clarity. After years in the design worlds of Chicago, New York, and LA, I moved to the Low country to trade the blur of modern life for focus where earth meets sky.
The Process
Working in rich oils and luminous gold leaf, I capture how light moves through the atmosphere. While expansive Skyscapes are a core focus, I paint anything along the coast that catches my eye, from wading birds and native florals to striking coastal bugs. Layering deep color with reflective metallic accents creates living pieces that shift dynamically as the light in your home changes.
The Goal
I don’t just show a view; I capture its energy, turning transient moments into permanent tethers of peace that invite you to stop, breathe, and look up.
